Remember, while learning martial arts and participating in competitive fights, people are expected to wear protective gear. Accidents do happen and it is a part of any sports and the protective gear helps against serious injuries. Even if you are learning fencing or boxing, accidents can happen. However, these accidents should not be construed as violence.
