Seattle SeahawksSeattle Seahawks: Preseason Analysis The Seattle Seahawks are still the team to beat this season. They represented the NFC in the Super Bowl last year, making them the best in the NFC. Led by Shaun Alexander, their star running back, the team is counting on him to help them through again. However, some critics are wondering if Shaun Alexander will have as dominating a season as he did last year. He has the talent of course, but he may not have as many total yards this year because of the loss of Chad Hutchinson, their top lineman. Hutchinson was picked up in the free agency to the Minnesota Vikings. The Seahawks did pick up star player Nate Burleson from the free agency as well. Burleson came from the Vikings, which started an interesting free agency battle between the Vikes and the Seattle Seahawks. Of course, returning quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will love having Nate Burleson on his side. Peter Warrick will likely have a great year as well, coming out of Cincinnati. The defense is likely to be just as tough this season. The Seahawks picked up Julian Peterson from the free agency. He is a linebacker from the 49ers and brings a good veteran leadership to the team, which can only help them remain strong defensively. With Coach Mike Holmgren on their side, the Seahawks can bet they will bring home a championship at some time or another. Holmgren had a good stay in Green Bay and continues to better the Seahawks each year. |
