Philadelphia EaglesPhiladelphia Eagles: Preseason Analysis There were two things that happened when Terrell Owens left the Philadelphia Eagles. First, jaws dropped all over the city. Next, everyone rejoiced to be free from the drama. Terrell Owens did a lot for the Eagles and really played great while he was there. But, more often than not, he was fighting with someone in the coaching staff or on the team. It was such a drama scene, with T.O. that may people think the team will benefit this season without him gone. It certainly can only help team morale! The only problem is the Eagles really haven’t filled the place of Terrell Owens yet. McNabb is going to have to work twice as hard to score with his legs without Terrell Owens there to catch the passes. However, McNabb is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, so it shouldn’t be that farfetched to think he could pull it off. Thankfully, the defense for the Philly Eagles is just as strong as ever. Javon Kearse will likely lead the defense to the top again. So, even though their offense is stumbling a bit, the defense will hopefully make up the difference. Coach Andy Reid is back again and has led his team to the NFC Championship game for three years in a row. So, he is likely looking to repeat his success. However with so many changes in the offense, it is not certainly if the Philadelphia Eagles will even make the playoffs this year. Of course with stars like McNabb playing, you never know what to expect. |
