Atlanta FalconsAtlanta Falcons: Preseason Analysis Everyone knows that the Atlanta Falcons have one major player and one alone. Michael Vick. Michael Vick is an outstanding quarterback that is so powerful he can even lead the team, by himself to wins now and then. But, he has been known to be a little delicate and is prone to injury, which is not a good thing for the Falcons at all. The defense has picked up a great player, John Abraham, from the Jets. This defensive end should have no problem bringing leadership to the weak defense and may be what it needs to get the ball rolling on that spectrum of the team altogether. In addition, Keith Brooking is a great linebacker that should again lead the team in tackles. Another problem for the team is the fact that Alge Crumpler is the only passing option Vick has. The team really needed to pick up a few steady receivers for their passing game to thrive. The coach, Jim Mora, who is with Atlanta for the second season this year, came from the San Francisco 49ers. He was the offensive coordinator there and is hoping to be able to rebuild the Atlanta Falcons and turn them into winners. He did try to change Vick’s playing style last year and get him to pass more and run less. However, everyone quickly saw that Michael Vick is best when he runs the ball and there is nothing much you can do about it. The Falcons did miss the playoffs last year and will likely miss them again this year. |
