2006 Preseason Analysis Kansas City: What To ExpectThe Kansas City Chiefs did a lot of work during the off season this year. They are trying to build a great team that they can be proud to be a part of. During the draft they brought on Tamba Hali, the defensive end they desperately needed. He is a great pass rusher that will help the Chiefs do what they need to do. The free agency market was also a success for the Kansas City Chiefs. They brought on Patrick Surtain, the corner back from the Dolphins. He will bring on the leadership and veteran knowledge that the team needs for the younger guys to really learn what playing in the NFL is all about. Quarterback Trent Green offers experience and talent to the team. The rest of the offense will look about the same as last year as well, with Tony Gonzalez and Priest Holmes being major parts of the system. The special teams sector of the Kansas City Chiefs is looking great as well, with Dante Hall leading the pack there. Hall offers a great deal of talent as a KR and can really help the team toward their goal of a winning season. The most exciting thing to happen to the Kansas City Chiefs this off season is likely the new coaching staff. Herm Edwards is the new Head Coach of the Chiefs and he comes from the New York Jets with a lot of experience. He will be able to bring excitement to the players, the fans, and the owners. |
