2006 Preseason Analysis Houston Texans: What To ExpectThe Houston Texans might have a better year than ever this season! They are really excited to have new Head Coach Gary Kubiak on their side and are planning to have a winning season. This is Gary Kubiak’s first head coaching gig, but he is likely going to do just fine with the Texans. He has an excellent Offensive Coordinator background and is very confident he can help the Houston Texans become the team they want to be. David Carr should have a better year this year as well. If he doesn’t perform better he might not have a job next year and he seems to understand that clearly. Will he be great or be jobless? That is the new question! Experts think that David Carr will finally be able to excel however, with the coaching staff in charge. The staff is expected to utilize running back Domanick Davis more this year as well, which will help David Carr look even better in the long run. The Houston Texans did well in the draft this year. They acquired Mario Williams, the defensive end from N.C. State and DeMeco Ryans, the linebacker from Alabama. Even though they are both rookies, both Williams and Ryans are expected to start for the Houston Texans defense. The team can not possible get worse than they were last year, so the expectations are high and they are expected to really come out of their losing hole. The new round of coaches offer inspiration and hope to a team that desperately needs it. |
