Denver Broncos: What To Expect

With Mike Anderson gone from the Denver roster, many people are wondering who the team will put in to take his place. The good news is that there are quite a few choices for Coach Mike Shanahan to choose from. The team can consider Ron Dayne, Cedric Cobbs or Tatum Bell. In addition, they have Mike Bell, the rookie.

Ron Dayne looks like the best choice at this time. He has the most experience and is quite talented. Many experts feel that if he got along better with Giants coach Jim Fassel while he was there, he would have been a bigger star than he is now. However, Tiki Barber was the golden boy for Coach Jim Fassel instead of Dayne.

Being a youthful 28 years old, with the maturity needed to help the Broncos team, he looks like the best choice. Of course, Tatum Bell looks good as well. He likely will be the backup however. Some are speculating the two players will be sharing the spotlight, lessening the load of both of them.

In addition to the running back questions, the team is also wondering how the team will do with Jay Cutler on board. The team made a bold move by bringing on a star like Jay Cutler when they already have a great quarterback in Jake Plummer. Plummer has taken to the change well, feeling that he is still the top man around. Only time will tell if Plummer will start feeling the quarterback threat of Cutler.
