2006 Preseason Analysis

Buffalo Bills: What To Expect

T-R-O-U-B-L-E is what to expect from the Buffalo Bills this year. If you are a Bills fan, you might just have to deal with the fact that the team has gone through a major reconstruction off season. The team has an entirely new coaching staff. Head Coach Dick Jauron will lead the pack but with him being new to the players as well as the assistant coaches being new as well, it can spell hard times for the Bills. Most players will tell you that it take a while to really get to know new coaches. With the entire coaching staff being new to the players, it may take even longer to get things rolling smoothly.

The team needs to really count on their defense to pull them through the changes they are making franchise-wide. Line backer Takeo Spikes missed last season because he was injured. However, he is back with a vengeance and will only make the Buffalo defense stronger than ever before. In addition safety Troy Vincent and line backer London Fletcher will work well in the defense to make it strong and terrifying.

The team has several different quarterback options for the year, which can mean a lot of trouble for the receivers. JP Losman, Craig Nall, and Kelly Holcomb could all make appearances in the quarterback position. The team has not confirmed who the starter will be, and it is likely they won’t make an official announcement. The team just might play all three throughout the pre-season to see what happens. This can be difficult on wide receivers Lee Evans and Peerless Price.
