2006 Preseason Analysis Baltimore Ravens: What To ExpectThe Baltimore Ravens will be a force to be reckoned with this season. They are led by Head Coach Brian Billick, who is a well respected coach in the NFL. Billick helped the Baltimore Ravens win the 2000 Super Bowl and is looking to do the same thing for the 2007 season. He is a coach that always strives to prepare his team as much as possible. The Baltimore Ravens will always be mentally and physically prepared to win. The execution of the win is what they will have to work hard to attain. The best thing that has happened to the Baltimore Ravens since their Super Bowl win is the acquisition of quarterback Steve McNair. Steve McNair comes from the Tennessee Titans and will really be able to lead the offense of the Baltimore Ravens into victory. The Ravens had a nice starting quarterback in Kyle Boller. However, Boller never really showed the team why he should lead the team. He was inconsistent with his playing style and did not shine. All of the players are looking forward to being on a team with Steve McNair as well. Running back Jamal Lewis is excited to have the possibility of a reduced running load, as McNair can pass just as well as run the running plays. Wide receiver Derrick Mason and tight end Todd Heap are also ecstatic because their stats should improve this year as well. The Baltimore Ravens defense will also be greater than ever with Ray Lewis, Cris McAlister, and Ed Reed leading the pack. |
