The main colleges in America that offer boxing are part of the National Collegiate Boxing Association, also known as NCBA. This association was founded in 1976 and was meant to be a non-profit organization. The main goal of the NCBA was to provide an environment for students and athletes to pursue the sport of boxing in a professional manner. |
NCBA does enroll schools and colleges into its association for the main purpose of spreading awareness about the sport of boxing. The participating member schools are also encouraged to develop their programs through instructional methods and lay emphasis on teaching the fundamentals of boxing skills to newer students. For a student to join in a NCBA member school, they should have some prior experience and also must be a full-time student. It is preferred that they are students from an accredited institution for graduation.
Here are some boxing schools that have been segmented geographically. Also, some army and naval schools offer boxing as a study program.
